Mongolia was a post-communist country devastated by the collapse of the Soviet Union, my parents were radicals with a cause and I was a child caught in the middle.
Abraham’s Daughter is a braided memoir that tells a story of self-discovery as I face the truth that my life was not what it seemed and God was not who they said he was. Instead of adventure, my world was wrapped in trauma and neglect at the hands of those who claimed to care for me. Once I started to listen to my body, I found healing in my core and the courage to ask deeper questions. Was I neglected? Was I abused? Was God good? Did God demand my sacrifice? What was I worth?
I encountered myself in this space, peering back into childhood, where I could understand my story and meet God for the first time.
